obama lincolin memorial speech

analysis of obama memorial speech

SUMMARY= this speech was about obama telling America that there should be a change and that there will be a change, and how he was saying that there will be no more struggle any more how this nation would rise higher than they did and how everyone would now be equal as a nation.

MOVE 1= suspend judgement. Obama didnt judge any one for the damage that was in america he was just focusing on the change that the people need to make.

MOVE 2=define significant parts and how they relate. the two significant parts that Obama touched on is the change america can do for the country, and the equality of all the people from different races and sexual preference. they are related because the country cannot make a change if the people of the united states doesnt accept other people and their beliefs. that all people need to get along in order to change america for the better.

MOVE 3=make the implicit explicit. what Obama was making implicit is that america needed a change and how we are going to change america. what was explicit was that how long it would take for us to change america.

MOVE 4=look for patterns. there was not any patters in the speech, i thing he touched on new aspects of america, and because it was a short speech it was no time for a pattern.

MOVE 5=there was no move 5
