Tuesday at the State Fair,
I went to the horse races.
I went to the teller to place a bet,
It was an expensive bet for me.
I bet six dollars on horse four and three.
The time came for my horses to run,
I found myself frustrated
When they were slow to run, however
At the end of the race my horses had won.
I went to claim my winnings,
The money I had won.
When I turned in my slip it was done
The teller informed me you’ve barely won
With not even money to cover my bet
I found myself frustrated
With no money I had won.
